Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that legal action will be taken against the former minister KS Eshwarappa. The statement comes in response to Eshwarappa's controversial statement suggesting that Congress MP DK Suresh and MLA Vinay Kulkarni should be shot for allegedly supporting the idea of a separate nation for South India.

Speaking at Chitradurga, Siddaramaiah said that kill, shoot and hit are the language of people trained under RSS. “Eshwarappa knows no other language than kill, hit and shoot. Is this how a political leader should talk?” asked Siddaramaiah.

About the recent protests of Congress in Delhi demanding a fair share of taxes, Siddaramaiah said, “When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat, he opposed less tax distribution to Gujarat and demanded the then central government to give up tax collection from Gujarat but now however, he is criticising the State’s protest. We still have hope left from the Centre and is currently not considering to take matterers to the Supreme Court.” he said.

On allegations of State contractor’s association against government officials asking for commission, Siddaramaiah said that if the proper documents are provided in the background of the allegations, the government will conduct an investigation.
