According to Block Educational officer, S Umadevi, some YouTube videographers had asked one of the female students to clean the toilet and had videographed the same which has been made viral.

Villagers said that elections for the Milk Producers Co-operative were held on Thursday and some of the YouTubers who came to cover the elections had asked students to clean the toilet and had videographed it.

Puneeth, Sub Inspector, Bathalahalli police station said so far he has not received any complaint in this regard either against the teaching staff or against the YouTubers.Meanwhile, Bylanjappa, DDPI, Chikkaballapur said he has sought a detailed report from the Block Educational officer and once the report is submitted he would take proper action against the concerned.

Earlier, the Head Mistress of a Higher Primary School at Kuduvakote village in Sidlagatta taluk was suspended for making a girl student clean the toilet on 29 January.

Also, incidents where students belonging to Scheduled Castes were made to clean the soak pit at Morarji Desai residential school in Yaluvahalli in Kolar taluk were reported in December last year. Following this criminal cases under the provisions of the SC/ST Act were filed against the teachers and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during his visit to Kolar a few days later directed the police to take necessary actions against all involved in the case.
