Former chief minister and senior
leader BS Yediyurappa on Saturday said the upcoming Lok Sabha election will be
a turning point for BJP. “In the 2019 elections, BJP won 26 out of the 28
seats. It was the people's wish and power. This time, we will win all the 28
seats and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Yediyurappa said during BJP’s
State Executive Meeting in Palace Grounds here.
He requested all the workers and
members of BJP present in the meeting to support Modi.
About the Congress government in
Karnataka, Yediyurappa said the governance has collapsed in the State. “The
Congress government which came to power by misleading the people is now
involved in conflicts. Due to their quarrel, corruption is rampant and there
are absolutely no development works happening in the State,” the former chief
minister said.
Calling the Congress government a
failure, he said, “The government has not been able to wipe the tears of the
farmers during drought and protect the dignity of the women. It is impossible
to sit back and watch all this. We will fight and win for the people of the
State.”
BJP State President BY Vijayendra
said the immediate target before them is the upcoming Lok Sabha election. “We
cannot take our opponents lightly. We need to put our achievements on the
forefront and work day and night to secure victory,” Vijayendra said.
About the Ram Mandir inauguration
in Ayodhya on 22 January, Vijayendra said, “Under the leadership of our proud
Prime Minister Modi, the constant struggle of the last few decades came to an
end. There is an atmosphere all over the country where Hindus are celebrating
Lord Ram. In such an auspicious time, BJP is in the centrestage and for the
last nine-and-a-half years, the government has given good governance without
corruption.”
Vijayendra accused Congress party
of not trying to stop terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. “Jammu and Kashmir has
been rocked by militant activities for several years. It was done by the
Congress to portray that if Article 370 was abolished there would be chaos.
Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah's bold decisions uprooted the financial
support to such militant activities,” the State President said.
Union Minister Bhupendra Singh, who
was also present at the event, said the people of the country have understood
that Modi's guarantees are real. “ People of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and
Chhattisgarh have rejected Congress party's false guarantees,” said Singh,
referring to the recent Assembly elections to five states, Singh said. The
Union Minister said he is confident that Modi will be back in power with 400
seats in the upcoming elections. —Salar News
