January in City’s Indira Bhavan at 4pm, said Deputy Chief Minister DK
Shivakumar on Monday.
He added that party workers will also meet on 21 January in
Mangaluru.
"Observers from Delhi will attend the meet on 19 January
where the report submitted by district in-charge ministers on Lok Sabha
candidate selection will be discussed after which the names will be announced,”
said Shivakumar.
Reportedly, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is also expected
to attend the party workers meet.
Meanwhile, Shivakumar said that the Corporation and Board
selection list will be published soon. He dismissed the possibility of
postponing the list.
“We will give the appointment to all the people that we promised
during the election," he said
‘Anantkumar
Hegde lacks mental stability’
Shivakumar dubbed BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde as a mentally unstable
person. The Deputy Chief Minister was reacting to Hegde’s remarks against Chief
Minister Siddaramaiah. He said, "People with mental instability will talk
like that. It is a good development that BJP leaders have understood that his
words were wrong."
Shivakumar wished the people
of the State for Sankranthi and prayed for relief from the drought.
