Arjun Tendulkar gets engaged to hotelier Ravi Ghai’s granddaughter Saaniya Chandok

The private Mumbai ceremony brought together cricketing and hospitality circles as Arjun Tendulkar got engaged to LSE-educated entrepreneur Saaniya Chandok.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has got engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of noted hotelier and businessman Ravi Ghai, sources close to the families said.


The engagement took place in Mumbai on Wednesday in a private ceremony attended by close relatives and friends from both sides. Neither the Tendulkar nor the Ghai families have issued an official statement.


Saaniya, founder and director of Mumbai-based Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, has studied at the London School of Economics and holds a Veterinary Technician diploma from the Worldwide Veterinary Service. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, chairman of the Graviss Group, which runs Kwality Ice Cream, Brooklyn Creamery and the InterContinental Hotel on Marine Drive.


Arjun, 25, is a left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder representing Goa in domestic cricket and part of the Mumbai Indians squad in the Indian Premier League.


The Graviss Group posted a revenue of ₹624 crore in FY23-24, underscoring its position in India’s hospitality and food sector.
