Fire breaks out at chemical plant in Navi Mumbai; no one hurt
A fire broke out at a chemical plant in Navi Mumbai’s Shirvane MIDC around 11.20pm on 21 March. Four fire brigades worked overnight to control it. No casualties were reported. The cause is unknown, and an investigation is underway.

Rape bid and murder accused killed in police encounter in Lucknow
Ajay Dwivedi, accused of rape attempt and murder in Lucknow’s Malihabad on 18 March, was killed in a police encounter on 21 March. His brother Dinesh was arrested earlier. Ajay fired at police while escaping and died in retaliatory firing.

Karnataka Assembly passes bills on salary hike for CM, lawmakers
As per the Karnataka Ministers' Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Bill, the Chief Minister's monthly salary will double from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh, while ministers' salaries will increase by 108 per cent from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh.
