6 Kanwariyas killed, 24 injured in bus-truck collision in Jharkhand
Six Kanwariyas died and 24 were injured on 29 July after a bus carrying devotees collided with a truck transporting gas cylinders near Jamuniya forest in Deoghar, Jharkhand. Eight injured were taken to AIIMS Deoghar; CM Hemant Soren expressed condolences.

Gunman kills 4, including police officer, in shooting at NYC office tower
A gunman killed four people, including off-duty NYPD officer Didarul Islam, and injured one at a New York City office tower on 29 July. The attacker, Shane Tamura of Las Vegas, later killed himself. Police say his motive is unknown.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar nursing officer held for 'sexual harassment'
