DC skipper Axar fined Rs 12 lakh for maintaining slow over-rate
Axar Patel, captain of Delhi Capitals, was fined ₹12 lakh for a slow over-rate during their 12-run loss to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025. This was DC's first offence under Article 2.22, with Axar also struggling with no wickets and 67 runs so far.

Coast Guard, ATS seize Rs 1,800 crore drugs off Gujarat
On 12–13 April, the Gujarat ATS and Coast Guard seized 300 kg of suspected methamphetamine worth ₹1,800 crore in the Arabian Sea. Smugglers dumped the drugs before fleeing across the IMBL. The contraband was recovered and taken for investigation.

Mehul Choksi, accused in the ₹13,000 crore PNB fraud, was arrested in Belgium on 12 April, after an extradition request by Indian agencies. Choksi fled India in 2018 and was traced in Belgium last year. Formal extradition proceedings are now underway.
