Deputy
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar arrived in New Delhi and stated that the issue of
the alleged power tussle was between himself, the Chief Minister and the party
High Command.
Asked if he had discussed the possibility of a leadership change when he met party leader Rahul Gandhi in Mysuru recently, Shivakumar said: “How can I reveal the
plans of our party? This would be discussed at the party level and not
publicly. If any information needs to be shared with the public, the General
Secretary of the party would do it.”
Shivakumar
had recently been appointed as the party’s poll observer for the upcoming Assam
election. He said that he would meet party leaders while in Delhi.
“I will (also) be meeting legal counsels and Union ministers to discuss certain important legal aspects of irrigation projects in the State,” he said.
