Air Marshal Shrinivas takes charge as IAF Training Command AOC
With over 4,200 flying hours, the senior air officer adds depth to the Air Force’s training leadership.

Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas has assumed the role of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Indian Air Force's Training Command. A graduate of the National Defence Academy, Air Marshal Shrinivas was commissioned in the fighter stream of the IAF on 13 June 1987.
He is a 'Category A' Qualified Flying Instructor with over 4,200 hours of flight experience on various aircraft, including the MiG-21 and Iskra.
His extensive career includes numerous command positions, such as Commandant of the Air Force Academy and Air Officer Commanding of a frontline fighter base on the Western border. Additionally, he served as the Commanding Officer of the prestigious Flying Instructors’ School.
Air Marshal Shrinivas holds several academic qualifications, including Master of Philosophy and Master of Management Studies. He has been honoured with the Vishisht Seva Medal (2017) and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (2024) for his distinguished service.
Upon taking office, he paid tribute to fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the Training Command War Memorial
