National Herald case: DK Shivakumar seeks more time to appear before Delhi police
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar plans to respond after the winter session of the state legislature ends.

Deputy
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Monday that he will request more time from
the Delhi police to appear before them next week, to provide information in
connection with the National Herald case.
He
said he will seek a slot after the winter session of the Karnataka legislature,
which ends on 19 December. “I will also ask the Delhi police to provide me a
copy of the FIR,” he added.
Shivakumar,
who is in New Delhi, had earlier said that he would appear before the Delhi
police on Monday. But he postponed the plan to rush back to Karnataka to attend
the last rites of veteran Congress leader Shamanuru Shivashankarappa, scheduled
later in the day at Davangere.
The
Delhi Police had issued a notice to Shivakumar seeking transaction details in
connection with the National Herald case.
In
the notice dated 29 November, the EOW had asked Shivakumar to appear before it
or provide the requested information by 19 December.
Investigators have sought details of the funds allegedly transferred by him or associated entities to ‘Young Indian.’
