Two international flights bound for Hyderabad received bomb threat emails on the airport’s customer support ID, Hyderabad Airport GMR said on Saturday.

British Airways flight BA 277 from Heathrow landed safely in Hyderabad at 5.25am, after which standard safety protocols were initiated. Kuwait Airways flight KU 373, travelling from Kuwait to Hyderabad, returned to its departure airport following the threat.

Earlier, Air India flight AI 2879 from Delhi to Hyderabad also received a bomb threat email on the same customer support ID. The aircraft landed safely at 8.45pm on Friday and underwent full security checks.

On Thursday, Emirates flight EK 526 from Dubai to Hyderabad received a similar threat. The aircraft continued under heightened monitoring and landed safely at 8.30am. Security teams moved the plane to an isolated bay and deboarded passengers as per procedure.

The latest alerts follow a week of repeated threats to flights headed to Hyderabad. An IndiGo flight from Medina to Hyderabad was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday due to a threat, while another Kuwait–Hyderabad IndiGo service made anemergency landing in Mumbai earlier this week.

Airport authorities and security agencies are investigating the source of the emails amid the surge in threat messages.
