Three people tested positive for Covid-19 in Chennai, but officials confirm close monitoring and assure there is no reason for panic

Chennai, 22 April

Three people, including a woman, tested positive for Covid-19 here and they are undergoing treatment, a health official said on Tuesday.

This should not be alarming and they were being closely monitored, he said. 'This is not at all an issue. There is nothing to panic now.'

The three including two males had tested positive on 21 April. About 32 people were subjected to RT-PCR test.

There have been no active cases in the state as of 20 April.
