'Such incidents happen in big cities', Parameshwara on Bengaluru molestation incident
G Parameshwara stated that police patrols and surveillance are continually strengthened to address such incidents, like the recent molestation case in Suddaguntepalya

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said on 7 April that incidents of women molestation keep happening in a big city like Bengaluru, however, the city is peaceful due to the presence of police. He was reacting to the incident in which a woman was molested at a secluded spot in Suddaguntepalya. In the wake of the alleged molestation of a woman, he said that whenever such an incident takes place, it draws people's attention.
The minister said he gives daily instructions to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand to strengthen the patrolling and surveillance system. "The police are working continuously regardless of the rain and cold. That is why there is peace in Bengaluru. Such incidents keep happening in a big city like Bengaluru," the minister said.
According to the police, on the morning of 3 April, two women were walking in Bharati Layout when a man came to them and pushed one of them against the wall and molested her. After this he fled from the scene. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
