State government has appointed Prasanna H, IAS, as Executive Director of Karnataka
Examination Authority (KEA), replacing Ramya S, IAS, on Thursday.
This comes after allegations surfaced on 12 May that KEA had included 50 questions in Karnataka Common Entrance Test that were out
of syllabus. Candidates had
then filed a complaint at Malleswaram
police station against KEA,
which was headed by Ramya. In February 2024, High Court penalised the authority for two separate incidents.
KEA was fined Rs 1 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, in two instances, for allocating medical seats to candidates
who were ineligible.
Prior to his current appointment, Prasanna served as Director of Department
of Technical Education in 2023, where he played a crucial role in shaping
policies and initiatives related to technical education in the State. Before that, he served as Zilla
Panchayat CEO in Udupi in 2022, overseeing the administration and development
activities at the district level.
In 2021, Prasanna served as Deputy Resident Commissioner at Karnataka
Bhavan, New Delhi, where he represented State government and facilitated coordination between State departments and Central agencies. He also worked as an Assistant Commissioner
at Vijayapura. —Salar News

Recently PG neet MDS counselling kea has released web site..in which,the applicants who have completed before 11.08.2023 are elgible to appear apply for counselling..but the regular batch has completed in sept-oct 2023, because of rghus, the regular batch of 2018 degree awarding has gone till sept 2023...is it not a common sense, to understand the above.. And also, when neet pg regular after sept 2023 is conducted in march 2024 for regular batch, during that time, even supplementary batch students have also completed their degree with internship..the neet pg conducted in march 2024....when neet pg has allowed regular and supplementary batch to appear for neet examn for its regular 2023 batch and permitted to score AIR..Is it not kea has to permit both batches ( regular and supplementary who have completed their internship and awarded Dr. BDS Degree, to appear permit pg neet counselling by kea fir March 2023 applicants when they have been permitted by neet pg..all in doldrums by KEA..before releasing they should check and the injustice to applicants is not tolerable.. KEA should take corrective steps considering the future of the MDS aspirants.. it's a cascading effect on students due to problems with rghus, neet (nea), and kea.. it's not being highlighted ..they r dictating terms as per their wish...at their whims and fancy..spoil the career of aspirants

Respected Sir, My daughter comes under the DCET working professional catagory ( Civil engineering Branch). Since my father in law expired ,as we were in a remote area, and due to some confusion she wasn't able to give an option entry before 18-07-2024 (@2 pm) . So as a result when she signs into the portal it will show that " you are stopped from the CET Admission Process". So I agree it is my daughter's mistake that she hasn't given an optional entry in the specified time. I came to know that there are few seats available after 2nd round of admission , So after the second round under the working professional category, Please give her a chance to give an optional entry. So that, she can get admission in evening engineering college. Thanking you sir
