Mumbai, 5 Dec

The makers of 'Dhurandhar' have officially announced its second instalment, confirming that 'Dhurandhar 2' will release in theatres on 19 March 2026. The update surprised audiences as it appeared in the end credits of the first film, which hit theatres today.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, 'Dhurandhar' features a powerhouse ensemble including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. With the release date reveal, it is now expected that the gangster drama will conclude in two parts.

The first film has been building buzz since the launch of its action-packed trailer earlier this month. The trailer opens with a chilling torture scene introducing Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, also known as the ‘Angel of Death’, who vows to “bleed India with a thousand cuts.”

It also showcases R Madhavan as Indian Spymaster Sanyal, a strategist who believes that entering enemy territory is the only way to stop a growing threat. Akshaye Khanna plays the sharp and dangerous Rehman Dakait, while Sanjay Dutt appears as SP Chaudhary Aslam, adding further menace to the antagonist lineup.

Ranveer Singh enters later in the trailer as the man tasked with stopping the chaos. The promo hints at high-stakes combat, explosive action, and fast-paced narrative turns.

Jointly produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film’s music is composed by Shashwat Sachdev.

With anticipation already soaring, audiences now await how the story will escalate in 'Dhurandhar 2' when it lands in cinemas next year.
