Late singer Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima on Tuesday shared an emotional tribute to him on Instagram.

She posted a series of photographs of the couple and wrote about how much she misses him on what would have been his 53rd birthday.

The photographs captured moments from their life together since their marriage in 2002. In her message, Garima recalled the memories they created and the bond they shared. She also mentioned how difficult life has been without him.

Zubeen Garg was known for his contribution to Indianmusic and for his influence on Assamese culture. He also worked in the Hindi and Bengali film industries. He died on September 19 after suffering a seizure and collapsing while swimming at a resort in Majuli, where he was undergoing treatment.

As a tribute to him, his film Roi Roi Binale released last month at a theatre in Guwahati. Director Rajesh Bhuyan said he was happy with the response. Speaking to ANI, he said, “Assam mein ye record hai ki kisi movie ka morning show hua aur itna acha response mila. Zubeen ka sapna aaj poora hone ja raha hai. Ye picture poore Assam ki hai. Unke bahut saare upcoming projects hain jinko hum milkar poora karne ka try karenge.”

Zubeen Garg died on September 19. The Assam government formed an SIT to investigate his death.

So far, seven people have been arrested. They include Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharth Sharma who was Zubeen’s manager, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami who was his bandmate, Amritprava Mahanta who was his co singer, his cousin Sandipan Garg, and his two PSOs Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishy. The court has sent them to judicial custody.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently said that the SIT will submit the chargesheet before the court by December 8.
