Bollywood star Ranveer Singh expressed excitement over his wife Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film with South director Atlee, calling it a unique cinematic experience. The untitled project, produced by Sun Pictures, marks Padukone’s reunion with Atlee after their successful collaboration in the 2023 blockbuster ‘Jawan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan.

“I visited Atlee on the sets while Deepika was shooting. He is creating something that audiences may have never experienced in Indian cinema before,” Singh told reporters.

Singh, known for films like ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, ‘83’, and ‘Padmaavat’, also collaborated with Atlee on an ad film featuring himself alongside Bobby Deol and South actress Sreeleela. Deol plays the antagonist, while Sreeleela makes her Hindi debut with this project.

Singh praised Atlee, saying he has been a fan since ‘Mersal’ (2017) and had hoped to collaborate with him long before the director rose to fame with ‘Jawan’. “It’s always great hanging out with him and working with his super-duper awesome team,” Singh said.

Reflecting on his co-stars, Singh said he grew up watching Bobby Deol in the ’90s and felt honoured to work alongside him. “Everybody talks about ‘Animal’ and ‘B***ds of Bollywood’, but it was a blast to be with him. This is undoubtedly Lord Bobby’s Renaissance era,” he added.

Singh also lauded Sreeleela, calling her the “real national crush” and praising her work ethic and talent. “I’m very excited to see her Hindi debut. She is going to be the biggest star in the years to come,” he said.

Sreeleela expressed gratitude for the love from fans and shared her excitement at working with Atlee and Ranveer. “I had great fun on the set. I’ve been a huge fan of Atlee since ‘Raja Rani’ and always wanted to work with him. Ranveer sir’s energy made the shoot even more enjoyable,” she said.

The ad film collaboration highlights the synergy among Singh, Deol, and Sreeleela while building anticipation for Deepika Padukone’s upcoming magnum opus with Atlee, which promises to offer Indian audiences an unprecedented cinematic experience.
