Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has finally addressed years of bizarre dating and marriage rumours involving cricketers Virat Kohli and former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq. In a recent interview with ‘The Lallantop’, the ‘Baahubali’ star expressed both amusement and discomfort over how easily misinformation spreads online.

Referring to a viral photo with Abdul Razzaq from a 2020 jewellery store event, Tamannaah said, “Mazaak mazaak mein Abdul Razzaq! According to the internet, I was briefly married to him. I’m sorry sir, aapke do-teen bachche hain (You have 2-3 children). I don’t know anything about your life, but it was so embarrassing.”

She also cleared the air about being linked to Virat Kohli after they appeared together in a commercial. “I feel so bad because I literally met him for only one day. I have never met Virat after the shoot,” she said, calling the rumours completely baseless.

Tamannaah admitted that being falsely linked to people she barely knows is awkward. However, she’s learned to accept such incidents as part of being in the public eye. “It takes time, but one finally accepts that there's nothing one can do about it,” she said.

Despite this, the actress keeps a pulse on how she is perceived. “As an actor, it’s important to know what the audience thinks,” she said, adding that she often Googles herself to track public opinion. “If you’re not doing movies for yourself, you need to know if people like them.”
