Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve is considering casting 'The Batman' star Robert Pattinson in 'Dune:Messiah', the third film in the blockbuster franchise based on Frank Herbert's books. The director is interested in having Pattinson as part of the film, which will be led by Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya. No formal offer has been made yet.

Villeneuve, also known for hits like 'Arrival', 'Blade Runner 2049', is finalising the script for 'Dune 3', which is set to begin shooting in the summer. Pattinson recently co-starred with Zendaya in 'The Drama.' He is currently shooting for Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey', which also stars Zendaya.
