Bengaluru, 30 April

Authorities stated that at least 15 trees and various infrastructure were damaged in Cubbon Park after the rains on Wednesday.

An official said that only for the second time in the park’s history did a tree older than 100 years get uprooted.

Additionally, trees fell near the library at Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall.

“It's a total failure of the officials to protect the tree strength by preventing infra projects like Smart City Project inside Cubbon Park,” a statement said, while an official also said that railings and infrastructure in the park were also damaged.
