Locals demanded answers from authorities, including Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Shivajinagar MLA Rizwan Arshad, saying it was their responsibility to ensure the safety of people, including street vendors.


A local told ANI that the people who had died in the wall collapse at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital had taken shelter under a plastic tarpaulin due to the heavy.


“It is the responsibility of contactors, architects, in-charge MLA and the Bengaluru Development Minister, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to prevent such incidents,” he said. “But these people are not fulfilling their duties.”
