Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) provided the Letter of Authorisation to the firm at Rs 1.2 Crore

The proposed Metro corridor will cover a distance of 59.60 kilometres, running through Madavara, Nelamangala, Dabaspet, Kyathsandra and Tumakuru.

The Green Line of the Bengaluru Metro presently extends from Madavara to Silk Route, covering a total length of 33.46 km with 31 stations along the corridor. The 59 km-long Madavara-Tumakuru section is expected to become the State’s first inter-city Metro line.

However, the Opposition BJP has questioned the feasibility of the project, with Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya saying that a metro would move at the speed of a bus, questioning whether the cost of the project would justify the result.
