BENGALURU, 15 JULY
Congress General Secretary and State in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala held individual meetings with various State ministers to address grievances and evaluate their performance amidst complaints from party MLAs.
Public Works
Minister Satish Jarkiholi reported that he provided Surjewala with a detailed
account of developmental projects undertaken in his department. He noted that
while funds had been allocated for public works across several constituencies,
a few requests from MLAs remain unaddressed. Jarkiholi pledged to convene a
meeting to resolve these pending issues.
Health Minister
Dinesh Gundu Rao downplayed the meeting’s impact, stating that Surjewala merely
shared feedback on ongoing concerns without any significant developments arising
during their discussions.
Minor Irrigation,
Science and Technology Minister NS Boseraju acknowledged that Surjewala
addressed the demands of MLAs and highlighted a positive perception of his work
among them. He dismissed claims of internal dissent, claiming that any issues
had been resolved amicably.
Despite Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's assurances of completing his term, undercurrents of discontent persist within the party, with multiple MLAs expressing frustration over stalled developmental initiatives.
