Following
minister Priyank Kharge's statement on imposing a ban on the Rashtriya
Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the BJP hit back at the Congress leader, saying that
he is "threatening bans" as he feels that the situation in the
country is like it was in the year 1975. The BJP also criticised Congress president
Mallikarjun Kharge in an X post, saying that Kalaburagi, which has been
"ruled" by Kharge for more than 50 years, remains one of the most
underdeveloped parts of State. "Priyank Kharge, a minister only because of
his father's influence, is now threatening bans like it's 1975 all over
again," the post said. "And if he thinks making such statements will
distract Kannadigas from the Multi Crore Housing Committee scam, he has failed.
Just like he did in first PUC".
