BENGALURU, 4 MAY

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) took place seamlessly across 381 examination centres in Karnataka on Sunday, attracting over 149,000 registered candidates.

Held from 2pm to 5pm, students gained entry to the centres between 11am and 1.30pm. Each candidate was required to present their admit card, a valid government-issued photo ID—such as an Aadhaar card or college ID—along with a postcard-sized photograph and two passport-sized images, as stipulated by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Robust security measures were implemented, with police personnel stationed at all centres to ensure safety and smooth operations. Mandatory biometric attendance was enforced, along with strict adherence to guidelines printed on the admit cards.

Prohibitory orders were enacted around the centres to avert any disruptions, and access was restricted to authorised officials and designated staff, with the general public barred from entry.
