In a significant development, City police commissioner B Dayananda said that chargesheet into the murder of fan of Kannada actor Darshan and his partner Pavithra Gowda and 15 other accused in the case is ready to be submitted to the court.

Addressing the media on Tuesday the top cop said, “The investigation in the case has been completed and the chargesheet is ready. The chargesheet has been handed over to the public prosecutor and we have taken suggestions from the learned counsel. After going ahead with the corrections and changes the charge sheet will be submitted to the court in a day or two’’.

“Few reports are expected from the FSL in Hyderabad. We plan to add the contents of the awaited reports to the charge sheet in the next few days. As a first move we are in the process of submitting a preliminary charge sheet’’ he said.

Officials familiar with the investigations said that the charge sheet runs into 4,500 pages and has 250 pieces of evidence against Darshan and others.  There is a possibility of Darshan being presented as the prime accused in the case instead of his partner Pavithra Gowda. -Salar News
