Platforms at Yeshvantpur Railway Station will be closed for 15 days to install an air concourse, South Western Railway (SWR) Zone said. Trains have been cancelled or partially cancelled, and some will be diverted or rescheduled during this period.

Platforms 2 and 3 will be closed from 21 August to 4 September, 2024, while platforms 4 and 5 will be closed from 5 to 19 September, 2024, a statement by SWR Zone said. An air concourse is a steel structure that connects all passenger platforms and the terminal buildings.

 Train cancellations

1. 06576 Tumakuru-KSR Bengaluru Express and 06575 KSR Bengaluru-Tumakuru Express are cancelled from 21 to 31 August and 1 to 19 September.

2. 12735 Secunderabad- Yeshvantpur Express and 12736 Yeshvantpur -Secunderabad Express are cancelled on 21, 23, 25, 28, 30 August and 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18 September.

3. 12257 Yeshvantpur-Kochuveli Express and 12258 Kochuveli- Yeshvantpur Express are cancelled on 20, 22, 25, 27, 29 August and 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17 September.

Partial Cancellations from 21 to 31 August and 1 to 19 September

1. 06574 Tumakuru- Yeshvantpur Express and 06580 Tumakuru-Yeshvantpur Express are partially cancelled between Chikkabanavara and Yeshvantpur.

2. 06591 Yeshvantpur-Hosur Express and 06592 Hosur- Yeshvantpur Express are partially cancelled between Yeshvantpur and Hebbal.

3. 06593 Yeshvantpur-Chikkaballapur Express and 06594 Chikkaballapur- Yeshvantpur Express are partially cancelled between Yeshvantpur and Yelahanka.

4. 6239 Chikkamagaluru- Yeshvantpur Express and 16240 Yeshvantpur -Chikkamagaluru Express will not operate between Chikkabanavara and Yeshvantpur.

5. 16208 Mysuru-Yeshvantpur Express and 16207 Yeshvantpur-Mysuru Express are partially cancelled between Chikkabanavara and Yesvantpur.

Train diversions

Trains will be diverted through alternate routes, bypassing Yeshvantpur station entirely:

1. 22697 SSS Hubballi-Dr MGR Chennai Central Express and 22698 Dr MGR Chennai Central-SSS Hubballi Express will run via Hubballi, Arsikere, Chikkabanavara, Lottegollahalli, Banaswadi, SMVT Bengaluru, and Krishnarajapuram on 24, 31 August, and 7, 14 September.

2. 06511 Banaswadi-Tumakuru Express Special and 06512 Tumakuru-Banaswadi Express Special will operate via Banaswadi, Chikkabanavara, and Tumakuru from 21 August to 19 September.

Rescheduled Trains

1. 16546 Sindhanur-Yesvantpur Express will be delayed by 90 minutes from 20 August to 18 September.

2. 06545 Yesvantpur-Vijaypur Express Special will be rescheduled by 30 minutes from 21 August to 19 September. -Salar News
