City police have arrested a house owner for allegedly raping an 8-year-old girl when she was alone at her rented house on Tuesday. According to Madanayakanahalli police inspector, “The accused man had committed the crime when the girl was alone and her parents had gone to work.”

The survivor has been admitted to the Nelamangala Private Hospital and is being treated. The police have booked the accused under the provision of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. This is the third case reported in the City.

On Friday, a 23-year-old woman was kidnapped and gang-raped and on the same day 7-year-old was raped in Kadugodi police station limits. It is alleged that two men took the kid to buy her a chocolate and allegedly raped her. In another case, a 6-year-old was brutally raped in Medahalli under KR Puram police station. —Salar News
